Great location, lovely pool and gorgeous room.
The owner was very nice but was never in the office to help us
Mr. Kavallaris is the best. Since the first time he comes to pick up at the port, you know he is an authentic greek man. His hospitality made a great difference during our stay at Anemomilos Suites. The location of the Hostel is 400m far from the main square. 5 minutes walking from Thira and the Bus Station. Additionally, the cleanliness of the place is excellent.
Stavoras picked us up from the port AND drove us back down for a 2:00am ferry. On the ride up, he gave us a lot of suggestions, one of which provided us with the most beautiful breathtaking sunset I have ever seen! He also brews his own wine and gave us a taste promptly upon arrival--delicious! The place was great, had an awesome view, and was very close to the center of Fira. The price was unbeatable! However, I think Stavoras hospitality and service makes this hand-down the best hotel I stayed in Greece.
Just a few minor issues, like our fridge not working and the pool being FREEZING--too cold to go in, although I went anyways. :) Would still ABSOLUTELY recommend this place to everyone!
Good hotel, good room, swimming pool available, friendly staff, the staff helped be booking a scooter that I didn't have to return to the agency as I just left it next to the hotel and delivered the keys to the host. They took me in the airport and brought me back for free.
A little far from the center, like 15 min walk, but I rented a scooter so this was not a problem
Our host was great. Complimentary drop off offered without being sought and a friendly drink of wine on our arrival. Very helpful with sights to see and spoke excellent English.
We were lucky to have a two bedroom apartment but were disappointed that it was in the basement so we didn't even have a view of the street. This was the only negative apart from the fact that the second bedroom didn't have an airconditiiner or any windows. However, only a short walk from the centre of Santorini and a great host. Would definitely stay there again but would request an apartment street level or higher.
The maisonette being a duplex provided a lot of spaces. The gentleman-owner was very friendly, helpful and didn't mind the trouble of shuttling you to the town centre.
Before I set off, I sent 2 emails requesting pickup from the port but got no response. Hence, I rented a car. It took me quite long to locate the hotel, without success. I called and was told by the lady that she was busy and could'nt help. Then, her son and her husband called back and helped. As I finally arrived at the hotel with no fixed signage but only a flying flag of its name (hardly legible), the lady actually howled and asked where I'd been as her son and husband had waited for me at the port for a (surprise) pickup. It was only after I argued that I was not informed despite my emails, that she calmed down. I felt like a poor relative seeking for free accommodation and, thus, obliged to suck in her unreasonable attitude.
We met Stavros the owner of the hotel who has been very helpful and gentle with us. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be at walking distance from Thira. The rooms are very clean and you have a terrasse. If you want to get any information always ask Stavros he will always give you the best advice.
The staff was very accommodating. I was offered a ride to and from the port without hesitation. The owner had great advice about what the best activities included. The hotel was great, I was very impressed. I had my own balcony that overlooked the sea where I watched one of the prettiest sunsets I've ever seen. If you are a fan of quality but are on a budget and you don't mind walking a little ways to town, don't hesitate in booking here.
Very close to city downtown, free transfer from/to airport and very friendly staff.
The reception is closed the most part of time.
